Hermitage

At the list of objects obligatory for visit in St. Petersburg by all means there has to be a Hermitage. It is one of the largest art museums in the world. Within the walls of a huge museum complex you will be able to see thousands of objects of art, you will find interesting cultural exhibitions, curtains of impressionists, artifacts of the Egyptian and antique antiquity, ceramics, sculptures, works of modern writers and many other things. Especially It should be noted the main building of the Hermitage — the Winter Palace. His facade, appearance and improbable architectural style impress not less than the treasures which are stored behind walls of this former imperial residence.

Schedule of work:

• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 10.30-18.00
• Wednesday: 10.30-21.00
• The day off: Monday
• Cash desks are closed in 30 minutes prior to closing of the museum
• In holidays the museum is open from 10.30 till 18.00
• On January 1 and on May 9 – the museum is closed
• In holiday days the museum will be closed 1 hour earlier

Visit cost:

• 400 rubles – the entrance ticket in the Main museum complex
• 500 rubles – the entrance ticket for visit within two days from the moment of acquisition of the ticket of the Main museum complex (once) and exhibitions in the General staff (once)
